You don’t seem to agree with Stephen Miller’s view that power grants a license to oppress. The Millers of the world usually get hanged in the end. But it takes a long time and too many bodies to get there.
This goes deep my friend and deserves a reread when my brain is less sleep deprived, but yes to what I gleaned from your thoughtful and philosophical musings. There is a paradox in wanting rules and guidelines and also being/feeling free, but if freedom is no rules, if freedom is chaos, or if freedom is defined by the capricious and dangerous whims of those in power, then no thanks to that kind.
